For multinational retail and wholesaling company client in Product Management internship at Publicis Sapient

A modernization of our client, a multinational retail and wholesaling company’s, previously slow and error prone campaign management system. This website streamlines the process for CPG partners to launch marketing campaigns and compose and deliver ads for our client’s brands online, off-line, and in stores.

Client’s request

My team’s client was a multinational retail and wholesaling company with almost 7,000 grocery stores. Coming to Publicis Sapient for a boost in their marketing system for CPG companies to advertise through their many brands, my team and I defined features for, designed, and built a website that intuitively stores campaign information in an organized and accessible way, brings in opportunity for collaboration through CPG company specific logins, and altogether met all of our client’s needs.

For this product, I worked with the other Product Manager on my team to break down the client’s problem, brainstorm features, narrow those down to define a data-driven MVP, and lead the team to present a refined deliverable.

Along with that role, I took on all of the User Experience content for our product. Beginning with user research, I learned about our client’s pain points and goals to design an empathetic experience. From this, I sketched ideas, built flowcharts and wireframes, and designed a final high fidelity prototype which supported the software engineers in building the functioning website.

These flowcharts I made in Figma show the thought process behind how to prioritize user decisions and fluidly guide them from one action to the next

Figma solution

By the end of our five week journey, my team and I delivered a clean and intuitive functioning website for our client, which replaced the previous marketing campaign generator website and attracted $1 billion in CPG media sales. The website allowed for CPG’s to launch marketing campaigns more often and in larger quantities, which both the CPG’s and our client benefited from.
